The talk with my daughter included her father and myself. While I know it was awkward for all of us, I felt it was important to talk about rape, what it was, what to do and most importantly to call me or her father for help.

Thanks for the insight Dietitian Bryan! I’ve thought about starting P90X a couple times, but wasn’t sure whether it was all hype or not. I did not know there was a nutrition component to the program.

Hi Aaron, I have too. I really liked “Coach” and was initially a bit dissapointed after he left, but I love the show so much that it really doesn’t phase me anymore. I agree; Schmidt’s character is hysterical. Thanks for writing in!

I have been watching New Girl since the pilot with Wayans Jr. and I found it… funny.

But when the ‘Naked’ episode came on, I was sold! That episode moved this series from Let’s see where this goes status to, Add to my Hulu queue status.

Definitely worth going back and catching that one if you haven’t.

Zooey’s great. Everyone is great. But Schmidt really makes this show happen for me. Hahaha.

Thank you!!! This diet makes no sense with no true reason for cutting out grains and legumes. And didn’t we already go over the whole unlimited meat=no good during the late 90s and early 2000s with Atkins? sheesh.

I live with my mother, mother’s boyfriend and my little brother. My mothers previous boyfriend was an alcoholic and i did not get on with him one bit. He hit me a few times, i decided to tell my mother but she picked him instead of me. This is what ruined my mother’s and my relationship.

Now, she has found a new boyfriend who i judged before i met him because she went into a relationship straight after she finished with her previous boyfriend. He can be a very nice bloke at times but because of her previous relationship, me and my mother have never got on so the arguments are still happening, so when me and my mother get into petty little arguments, he always gets involved thinking he knows best and he thinks he has the right to get involved?

Im only 15 but how do i cope because with my mothers last relationship, he put me into depression for 2 years.

PLease help!

I used to work on a peer phone service that dealt with suicide prevention. It’s important to know that sometimes we don’t want to bring up the subject in fear that it will escalate or cause someone to think about suicide, when in fact accepting it and offering support is probably the best thing for a friend. So the next time a friend starts withdrawing, giving up things or hobbies, or wishing that everything would just start over…it’s okay to ask if they’ve ever thought about suicide. It may be the relief of having someone actually hear them out that will help them off the edge.
