Hey everyone! My name is Izzy and I’m from Boston, MA. I’m 17 years old and am going into my senior year of high school. My favorite classes are English and biology. I’m on my school’s cheerleading team and am also in our female a Capella group! Outside of school, I enjoy cheering, singing and playing the guitar, and spending time with my friends. This summer, I was fortunate to work at Mass General Hospital, where I helped in the Pediatric Research Department. In the future, I hope to study public health and provide healthcare to underprivileged groups.

I decided to get involved with the Youth Advisory Program here at Boston Children’s Hospital because I believe there is great value in having youth voices in the hospital, since that is who BCH serves. It is also great experience to work in a medical setting, since that is what I hope to do in the future. I look forward to writing the blogs since I love to write, and contributing my voice to the Center for Young Women’s Health.
