Introducing Frankie

FrankieHi, my name is Frankie, and I’m the newest intern on the Young Men’s Health team. I love playing soccer, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. Another interesting development in my life recently was my study abroad experience in Spain. I studied in Madrid for a semester, and discovered a passion for traveling and foreign cultures that I was unaware of just a year ago. I’m a psychology major at Suffolk University, and I’ve always found people to be interesting. Hopefully someday I’ll be able to do some good where it is needed.

I decided to take on an internship at Children’s Hospital because I find it to be an amazing place that offers their patients and the community so many benefits. About 3 years ago I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and was treated here at Children’s and Dana Farber. Thanks to the amazing people at these hospitals, I was cured. When I decided to take an internship class this semester, I knew I wanted to work at a hospital and try to give back in any way possible. I feel like my experience both a student and a patient have given me a unique insight into psychology and medicine, and hopefully I can help others, which I know makes me feel great!
