Hi! My name is Martie and I’m a rising senior at Bowdoin College in Maine majoring in Biology and minoring in French. I’m really interested in women’s health and enjoy working with young people, so I figured I would merge those two interests and write for the Center for Young Women’s Health blog! When not studying, I enjoy sailing on the Bowdoin sailing team, hiking, reading, and baking. I love dogs and try to pet as many as I can each day. A fun fact about me is that I spent this past Spring studying abroad at the University of Edinburgh taking classes at the medical school. I got to do some fun travel on my school breaks, and my favorite trip was to Budapest, Hungary because the city has so much interesting history and culture. I’m excited to write more for the CYWH blog this summer!
