Introducing Rachel
Hello everyone! My name is Rachel and I am a recent graduate of Skidmore College. While there, I majored in Political Science and Anthropology. It was during a Medical Anthropology class in my Sophomore year that I first realized I was absolutely in love with reproductive health. For my senior capstone in Anthropology, I created an independent research project that allowed me to talk to women about how their reproductive experience was affected by an increase in knowledge, autonomy and choice. After graduating, I spent the summer interning for the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund and now I am in the process of obtaining a job in the field of reproductive healthcare!
I am so excited to blog for TeenSpeak! I hope that I can share with you all the experience of actually searching for a job. I will let you know that the process comes with a lot of self-discovery and trusting your gut (much like any transition moment in life).
Besides that, I have a whole 23 years of experience with life’s ups and downs.
